The artist finished this oil on canvas in the year 1903 and was signed and dated with a very neat handwriting in brown ink in in the lower left corner. The original artwork measures 20 by 39 inches in size and now resides at the Pinacoteca do Estado de Sao Paulo, one of the most important museums in Brazil. The scene shows the brightly dressed farmers getting in what looks like the wheat crop for the winter. The man is standing over a team of six horses with other people doing various different jobs to getting this important grain ready for the winter food. The back field is still full of this brightly yellow colored crop with mountains standing in behind the fields.
