Rubens, Peter Paul - The Flight of Lot and Family from Sodom
A Museum Quality Print of The Flight of Lot and His Family from Sodom attributed to Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens, it is thought this version of the old master masterpiece was painted in his workshop. The religious artwork shows Lot and his Family fleeing the sinful city of Sodom, which God has given them instructions to leave before he destroys the city because of the people's wickedness. They were told by God to not look back upon the City but Lot's wife did look back and was turned into a pillar of salt. The story is from the Old Testament in the Book of Genesis. This painting was completed around 1620.
