Pissarro, Camille - Morning Sunlight on the Snow Fine Art Print
A Museum Quality Print of Morning Sunlight on the Snow by Camille Pissarro. The artist finished this canvas in the year 1895 with the original measuring 32 by 24 inches and now resides at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The early patron of the Impressionists, Durand - Ruel bought this painting off the artist when it was finished. The scene shows a French peasant woman trudging through the snow, carrying two heavy buckets. The picture combines Pissarro's sympathy for rural laborers with his interest in the winter landscapes. This was probably painted from the window of his studio which was a converted barn in the tiny village of Eragny, approximately 5o miles from Paris, France.
