Archival art print of Johan Christian Dahl's Winter at the Sognefjord — painted in oil on canvas in 1827 following his first journey through Norway as a mature artist. Steep slopes and vertical rocks rise in the foreground, a tribute to the grandeur of Norwegian nature and the proud spirit of its people. The original now hangs in a museum in Oslo. Even though we try to get the prints looking as good as possible, please keep in mind that this picture is now several hundred years old and shows cracks in the oil based paint and wear that cannot all be removed without ruining the original vision of the artist.
