A Museum Quality Print of the Hudson River by Winslow Homer. This watercolor was finished by the artist in 1892, the original size being 14 by 20 inches and now resides at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. The artwork is signed in the lower right corner "Homer '92". Winslow painted many pictures from the Adirondack region during his career, visiting many times over the decades. Logging was becoming a big cash crop in the Hudson River Valley region, with this scene showing a young man straightening up the logs for the trip down the river to get to the landing and then on to the market. On the other side of the river two deer are running into the woods, probably spooked by the noise of the logs being moved.
