Homer Winslow - Fishing Boats Key West art print
An archival premium Quality art Print of Fishing Boats, Key West by Winslow Homer for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artist finished this water color and graphite on woven paper in the year 1903. The size of the original artwork is 14 by 22 inches and now hangs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Few of Homer's watercolors rival this one for its effects of the shimmering light, steamy atmosphere and the liberal dabbing of wet paints, especially in the shadows reflecting off the waters. The artist used liberal pencil markings to indicate some of the boats riggings and also to enliven the rustle of the sail cloth being lifted by an ocean breeze. Famous Artists print #199
