W. M. Raymond Metallic Burial Cases & Caskets Print
A Museum Quality print of an advertisement for W. M. Raymond Burial Cases and Caskets who were proprietors and Manufacturers of these burial products and were located at 348 Pearl Street in New York City. This ad shows a huge funeral procession, the casket is so large it is being pulled by a team of 16 solid black horses. There is a huge crowd, since this was patented in 1866, I wonder if this was the funeral for Abraham Lincoln since he was assassinated just the year before, but that is just a guess. With the huge crowd and elaborate casket, this was definitely a very important person who died. A great if somewhat unusual vintage piece of advertising for the undertaking and funeral business.
At Fine Art Prints of Distinction we painstakingly repair the original files of these old paintings and print them using premium quality inks and paper. The end result is a beautiful, archival reproduction print that will last in your home for generations and at a low cost so anyone can now have great artworks hanging in their home or business. Brandywine General Store is proud to offer for sale a print made from the antique advertisement for the W. M. Raymond Burial Cases and Caskets Company.
