Unknown Artist - Abraham Clark and his Children Fine Art Folk Print
A Museum Quality Reproduction Print of Abraham Clark and his Children by J. W. The artist's initials are all that is known about him, no other prints have been found drawn by him. This is possibly a mourning picture from around 1822. Perhaps the Mother of this family has died, she is not in the painting. Mr. Clark is setting on the right looking sad, the six children are standing and setting in the center of the composition, all are very well dressed. One of the older children is holding the baby of the family while another young child is holding a rooster. A lot of Mother's died in childbirth during this era.
