The artist finished this oil on canvas in the year 1908, which was only two years before his death. The original size of this artwork is 32 by 39 inches and was at the New Western Art Museum in Moscow, Russia but then in 1948 it was moved to the Pushkin Museum where it still hangs today. This painting shows Rousseau's interest in new mechanical objects because in the sky are a biplane, which was a new invention, a hot air balloon and an airship. There are boats in the water with one just coming from under the bridge, while some large homes are located on the bank above the bridge. To the right are tall evergreen trees which are along the water's edge
