Prior, William Matthew - Boy with Toy Horse and Wagon Folk Art Print
A Museum Quality Print of Boy with Toy Horse and Wagon painted by American folk artist William Matthew Prior in 1845. This naive artwork shows a young boy standing with a riding crop in his one hand and in the other hand he is pulling a toy wagon with a yellow horse. William Prior prepared his own canvases, ground his own paints, and with the help of his sons made some of his own frames. The artist produced some landscapes, but because of public demand, he was primarily a portrait painter.
