Morland George - Old Horses with Dog in Stable Fine Art Print
A Museum Quality Print of Old Horses & Dog in Stable painted by English Artist George Morland in 1791. This oil on panel measures 11.7 by 15 inches and now hangs at the Yale Center for British Art in New Haven Connecticut. The scene shows two old horses in the stable, with one standing and the other one laying down. There is an old homemade wooden picket feed trough on the wall above the standing horses head, a dog is chained to the bin in front of the horse. It looks like the barn is made out of logs in the back and stone on the side wall, where there is a window. This looks like a high class stable for back in the day of this painting.
