Manet, Edouard - A Basket of Fruit Fine Art Print
A Museum Quality Print of A Basket of Fruit by Edouard Manet. The artist finished this oil on canvas around the year 1864 with the original size being 15 by 18 inches. He signed on lower right Manet. In 1948 John Tayler Spaulding donated this still life artwork to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston Massachusetts. The composition shows a basket of nondescript fruits which are yellow, purple, green and brown in colors, but muted, not bright. A butter knife is laying in front of the basket along with another piece of green fruit. A different looking approach to the still life.
