A Museum Quality Print of The Ancestors of Tehamana painted by the French Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin in 1893 while in Tahiti. Tehamana was a 13 year old girl who became the artist's companion, he portrays her here in a prim dress that was imposed on the native women by the European Missionaries showing that Gauguin didn't quite find Tahiti to be the primitive paradise he had hoped to find. The figure on the left is Hina in a pose from the Hindu sculptures.
