Cavallino, Bernardo - Adoration of the Magi Religous Print

Fine Art Prints of Distinction

A Museum Quality Print of Adoration of the Magi by Bernardo Cavallino. The artist finished this canvas sometime during the years 1630 to 1656. The size of the original artwork is 40 by 50 inches and now hangs at the Museum of Fine Arts in Vienna. The artist places one of the three Kings at the center of the composition, thus providing a strong brightly lit foreground figure to create greater depth. This is the technique known as Repoussoir. He places tender poetic faces on the figures in the composition.
