An archival premium quality art print of Woman at a Window, painted by Caspar David Friedrich in 1822. The model was the artist's wife, Christine Caroline, who gazes wistfully out the window at a ship in the bay. Friedrich was considered the most important German artist of his generation, living from 1774 to 1840. He found favor early in his career, but his style later fell out of fashion — he lost his patrons and died penniless and a recluse. Famous Artists Print #06.
