1976 Oklahoma License Plate
An Oklahoma license plate commemorating the Bicentennial of the United States in 1976, this OK car tag is white with red lettering and has OKLAHOMA and the date 1976 at the top and BICENTENNIAL and 1776 1976 at the bottom. Some people try to collect all of the bicentennial license plates from all the states, so this car tag would be a good addition to a bicentennial license plate collection. According to my latest information, Oklahoma does have a year of manufacture or YOM law, this lets you used the same year license plate as the year model of your antique car. So you might be able to use these on your vintage 1976 muscle car, but please check with the OK department of motor vehicles before purchasing for YOM purposes, to make sure the tag qualifies. We have several of these '76 OK Bicentennial car tags available for sale at Brandywine General Store and in different grades, we have included a generic picture of one of each condition class that we currently have in stock.
Some of the new car models introduced during the year of manufacture of 1976 were the Lotus Esprit, Nissan Maxima, Plymouth Arrow and the Renault 14. The wealthier purchasers of luxury automobiles also had several new models to choose from during 1976, the Porsche 924, Ferrari 400 Automatic and the 512 BB, BMW 6 series, and the Lamborghini Silhouette.
