1947 Massachusetts License Plate
A 1947 Massachusetts car license plate, the color of the 47 MA DMV passenger automobile tag is green with white letters, Mass 47 is at the top. The MA department of motor vehicles only issued single tags for the state's motorists during the model year of 1947, they also made about 10% of the plates out of aluminum instead of steel, the aluminum plates were the last run manufactured. Seems as if the state ran out of steel to use in the license plate production this year.
