A Museum Quality Print of a 1916 Sherlock Holmes silent movie poster starring William Gillette who had played this role thousands of time in the theater for sale by Brandywine General Store. This film was lost for almost a century but in 2014 a copy was found in a film archive in France. Gillette made this film from his adaptations of the Sherlock Holmes character that he perfected in the theater. A lot of critics think that Gillette played this character better than most.
