Our archival scenic landscape shows a nice and different view of this most famous building on the college campus of West Virginia University, showing the hall from the side. The mansard roof and the red brick of the Second Empire architectural style as well as the windows are all shown very clearly in this rarer shot. Woodburn hall has had many different uses over its 140 year history, but since the beginning of the 20th century it has been used exclusively as the College of Arts and Sciences. A crystal clear blue sky makes a nice backdrop for the pinkish red bricks of the exterior of this building on the Quadrangle.
