Mount Foraker Denali National Park Art Print
A Museum Quality Art Print of Mount Foraker in Denali National Park in Alaska for sale by Brandywine General Store. Our premium archival artwork shows the top of the mountain covered in a heavy snow and a fog or mist swirling about that is frozen. Mount Foraker is located in the Central Alaska Range in Denali National Park, 14 miles southwest of Mount Mckinley. At 17,400 feet high makes it the 4th highest peak in the United States. The North peak of this mountain was first climbed in 1934 and the higher south peak just 4 days later by Charles Houston, T. Graham Brown and Chychele Waterston. When looked at from Anchorage to the South, Foraker looms as a giant twin peak to Denali or Mt. McKinley. The Tanama Indians called this mountain "Sultana" which translates to The Woman. Picture #16
