Burpee's 1898 Seed Catalog
A Museum Quality Print for the 1898 Burpee's Seed Catalog for sale by Brandywine General Store. This harbinger of spring would arrive in country homes all over the United States and signaled it was time to start the garden and spring work. Burpees was one of the big names in the seed business during the latter part of the 19th century and most of the 20th. This catalog advertising tells us that this is Burpee's Unique List of the Best Seeds that grown for 1898. Shown on the front cover are just two vegetables, an Australian Brown Onion and a Burpee's Stringless Green Pod Bush Bean. Picture #71 an archival advertising print by Brandywine General Store.
