1951 District of Columbia License Plates
An antique pair of 1951 District of Columbia passenger car license plates for sale by Brandywine General Store. The '51 DC DMV automobile tags are yellow with black, the expiration date is at the top. These are "shortie" tags and have a nice low 4 digit department of motor vehicle registration number of 8248 with the condition being very good. The picture shows the actual pair of 1951 District of Columbia car license plates that are for sale.
Some of the new car models introduced during the model year of 1951 were the Hudson Hornet, Nash Healy, Chrysler K-310, during this year Chrysler also introduced power steering and Plymouth came out with the Belvedere and the Cranbrook. The wealthy crowd had several new luxury cars to choose from this year including the Jaguar C Type, Ferrari 195 and 212 and Mercedes Benz came out with the 300 series.
