An archival premium Quality art Print of Grapes or Les Raisins by Juan Gris for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artist finished this oil on panel in 1916. At the beginning of 1916 the objects that Gris paints start taking on a greater presence. Most of the works of this period start showing a preoccupation with light. The artist either used light from a window as it would radiantly illuminate a still life or in a schematic fashion lighting objects in a dark interior. In this artwork you can see the Journal newspaper, a bunch of grapes, glasses and other objects all on a dark green table. In behind is what looks like might be a fireplace mantle or a cabinet door.
