A Museum Quality Art Print of the WV Governor's Mansion at the Capitol Complex in Charleston for sale by Brandywine General store. This scenic landscape of the Chief Executive's home is taken from the street in front of the home which runs parallel to the Kanawha River. The Georgian Colonial dwelling was completed in 1924 and at 21,000 square feet it is the 8th largest Governor's Mansion in the United States. As you enter the main hall, you first see the checkered black Belgian and white Tennessee marble floor which is flanked by dual Georgian staircases, which is a design that was inspired by the White House. This was the 2nd mansion owned by the state, the first one was located by the Capitol Building that burned to the ground in 1921. Picture 381
