The scene shows a young man and woman, taking a break after a hard days work of cutting the wheat crop. The boy and girl both have a sycle in their hand, these were used to cut the grain before the days of mechanization. Both are dressed in the peasant attire of Russia with the girl having two small butterflies on her arm. The tall stalks of wheat are shown in the background towering over the heads of the boy and girl. Country Decor art print #143
