A Museum Quality Print of The Painter and his Model by Alfred Stevens for sale by Brandywine General Store. The artist finished this oil on fabric in the year 1855. The size of the original artwork is 36 by 30 inches and is now at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore Maryland being bequeathed to this institution in 1931 by Henry Walters. In this early work by Stevens, he shows a young woman leaning over the shoulder of an artist, presumably Stevens himself, who is inspecting the unfinished canvas still on the easel. Hanging in the background of this Artist's studio is a Flemish tapestry showing an Adoration scene.
