Sisley, Alfred - View of Saint Mammes Fine Art Print
A Museum Quality Print of View of Saint Mammes by Alfred Sisley. The artist finished this oil on canvas in the year 1880, with the original art measuring 18 by 29 inches and is now at the Walters Art Museum. In 1880 the artist moved from Paris to Veneux - Nadon, a few miles southeast of Fontainbleau and here he remained the rest of his life. This view of Saint Mammes is one of several that Sisley would paint at different times of the day to get various perspective and different lighting of the various paintings. Saint Mammes was a port town for barge traffic where the Seine and Loing Rivers meet. Signed lower left.
