Rubens, Peter Paul - Adoration of the Magi Art Print
An archival premium Quality Religious Art Print of the Adoration of the Magi by Peter Paul Rubens for sale by Brandywine General Store. This canvas was painted by Peter Paul Rubens in the year 1609, it was commissioned by the Antwerp Town Hall to inaugurate and celebrate the twelve years Truce between Spain and the rebellious Netherlands. From here the painting made its way to the King of Spain, Rubens arrived at the court of the Spanish King in 1628 and while here he repainted the image, made it larger and added his own self portrait in the painting. The scene shows the Magi offering gold coins to the Christ Child with numerous other people looking on. This painting gave Rubens the chance to use the rich colors he liked for the textiles, sky and etc. Religious art print #21
