Our archival civil war artwork features a close view of the top of the Memorial with unusual clouds more resembling milk being splashed than clouds in the sky. The figure at the top is the Goddess of Victory and Peace with a palm branch in one hand signifying Victory through Peace, the other hand contains a sword representing the Biblical reference " they shall beat their swords into plowshares".
