This high quality reproduction orchid print was originally drawn by Charles Antoine Lemaire for the Horticulture Illustration Book Volume 13 which was published in 1866. This archival print shows the orchid in full bloom with one bloom pointing to the left and the other to the right, with the green leaves all through the plant. This orchid is a native of India, Nepal, Burma and Ceylon and ranks among the richest and most beautiful of the orchid family. The Saccolabium Curvifolium is a dwarf and compact growing evergreen plant seldom seen more than a foot high. It blooms in May and June with bright orange scarlet flowers which continue for weeks.
