Metrosideros, Harsh Leaved Botanical Print

Fine Art Prints of Distinction

A Museum Quality print of the Harsh Leaved Metrosideros originally published in the Botanical Journal, Volume 8 on April 01, 1794. This picture shows branch of a tree with long red blooms and green leaves, it almost has a Christmas like appearance. This botanical art is available in sizes from 8 by 12 up to a giant wide format size of 44 by 66 inches, so you can be sure to find the right size print you need to decorate your home or office. The Harsh Leaved Metrosideros was described thus - An evergreen shrub growing to a height of four to six feet, the leaves come out on the hard wood and feel very hard or rigid to the touch and when bruised, give off a very agreeable fragrance. This Metrosideros was very common in the South Seas, but this example that was drawn or illustrated by Curtis, is thought to be the only example that had ever bloomed in England.

At Fine Art Prints of Distinction we painstakingly repair the original files of these old paintings and print them using premium quality inks and paper. The end result is a beautiful, archival reproduction print that will last in your home for generations and at a low cost so anyone can now have great artworks hanging in their home or business.
