Gainesborough Thomas - The Marsham Children Fine Art Print
A Museum Quality Print of The Marsham Children, this painting was completed by the artist in the year 1787, only one year before his death. This was considered among one of his finer paintings and something of a divergence from his usual style. The majority of his works are either landscapes or portraits while this one pays homage to the style of Antoine Watteau. The Marsham Children were as follows: Charles 1777 - 1845, Frances 1778 - 1868, Harriot 1780 - 1825 and Amelia Charlotte 1782 - 1863. The dog's name was Fidele. The original of this oil on canvas is now at the Staatliche Museum in Berlin Germany.
