Coronilla Day Smelling or Sea Green Botanical Art Print

Fine Art Prints of Distinction

A Museum Quality Art Print of the Day Smelling or Sea Green Coronilla as drawn and colored by Curtis for his famous Botanical Magazine in the year 1787. This picture shows a twig of the bush with full blooming yellow blossoms and the green leaves. Curtis describes the day-smelling coronilla thusly - "This charming shrub which is almost perpetually in bloom is a native of the South of France and a constant ornament in our greenhouses. The flowers, which in the day are remarkably fragrant, in the night are almost without any scent. It is propagated by sowing the seeds in the spring and then transplanted when the plants are around two inches high."

Coronilla Glauca.
