Cactus Mr. Otto's Eichinocactus Botanical Print

Fine Art Prints of Distinction

A Museum Quality Botanical Print of Mr. Otto's Cactus, taken from Curtis's Botanical Magazine Volume 58, which was published in 1831. It was described as being 3 to 4 inches tall and was native to Brazil, however new specimens were just being found in the Rocky Mountains of the United States. Keep in mind that at the time of the writing of this magazine there were probably still several areas of the West that had not yet been fully mapped out. This print shows the cactus with 2 large yellow blooms, with an engraving of the needles being drawn in the upper left corner.
