This high quality archival print shows a single stem of the bellflowers with three huge purple blooms and two buds getting ready to bloom. This plant was described in the Journal thus - A most desirable ornament for flower borders which was originally received in England from the new World in the South regions of Carolina in 1791. This flower is a valuable acquisition as it is very hardy and easily increased by its roots.
