A T-70 Two Dollar Judah P. Benjamin obsolete bill issued by the Central Government during the Civil War in 1864 for sale by Brandywine General Store. This note is designated PF-1 which means it has Engraved by Keating and Ball , Columbia SC and Lithographed by Evans and Cogswell and there are no periods before or after either of the plate letters. This variety is common and rated at R-1 in the Fricke reference book. Our estimation of condition to be used as a reference only is choice uncirculated, this bill has a nice light pink tint, dark printing and a full cut border. There are some marks on the back which seem to be paper crinkles. Judah P. Benjamin served as Secretary of the State and War as well as Attorney General for the Southern States during the Civil War.
