2011-S Vicksburg Silver Quarter PCGS Proof 70 Deep Cameo
A 2011-S Vicksburg Silver National Park Quarter that has been certified as being perfect by PCGS at Proof 70 Deep Cameo. The Vicksburg National Park, consisting of over 1800 acres in the state of Mississippi was established February 21, 1899. The park was established to commemorate the siege and defense of the city during the Civil War as well as the preparations and battles leading up to the long siege. Located in this park are 1,325 historic monuments and markers, 20 miles of civil war trenches and earthworks, 144 cannon and even a gunboat, the USS Cairo. The ddesign on this America the Beautiful Quarter depicts the USS Cairo as it would have looked during the Civil War steaming down the Yazoo River.
