SKU: VA obsolete #73

A twenty five cents obsolete currency scrip issued from the business of Stewart and Kasey in Stewartsville VA on February 15, 1862 for sale by Brandywine General Store. This civil war obsolete money has a large train and Stewartsville is spelled wrong with a d instead of a T. The serial number is 665 which is handwritten, our estimation of grade to be used as a reference only, would be fine with a tear in the top between the Ls in the town name. In the Virginia obsolete reference book this scrip was listed as R5 on the rarity scale, which means that it is thought that only between 10 to 24 of these obsolete notes still exist. The pictures show the front and back of the actual Stewartsville obsolete currency that is for sale.
