2010 Birth Year Coin Set
A 2010 Birth Year coin set which includes the Kennedy Half Dollar, America the Beautiful Quarter, Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel and Lincoln Cent for sale by Brandywine General Store. The America the Beautiful series of quarters started this year. Like the very popular statehood quarters, this series features a site of natural or historical significance from each of the fifty states, five territories and DC. These are issued in order of the site's designation as a National Park or Site. Congress has the authority at the end of the 11 year program to extend it another 11 years by including a 2nd site from each state and territory. Featured on the quarters during 2010 were Hot Springs Park in Arkansas, Yellowstone in Wyoming, Yosemite in California, Grand Canyon in Arizona and Mount Hood National forest in Oregon. These sets will be in uncirculated condition. The four new reverses of the Lincoln cent were only minted the previous year, in 2010 the back of the cent went to a shield design which is still in use to the present day. This shield reverse is supposed to signify President Lincoln's holding the United States together during the Civil War. This 2010 US coin set makes an excellent gift for birthdays or any other occasion.
