1879 Baltimore Document Work on Orleans Street
An 1879 Baltimore Historical Document showing expenses for work on Orleans Street for sale by Brandywine General Store. Our antique paper shows the wages for the people working on this project near Caroline Street. Some of the jobs were pavers, rammers, laborers and carters. Their salaries ranged from 1.25 to 2.50 for the day. All of the employees had X's for their mark, so i am assuming none of them could read or write. Inventory Document #8
