Washington DC Obsolete Money Government Bank Five Dollar banknote
SKU: DC Government Bank Uncirculated
A green tint five dollar banknote issued by the Government Bank in 1862 from Washington DC showing a large patriotic eagle in the center vignette. This was printed during the Civil War and signed by the cashier and President of the bank but it doesn't appear this money was issued by the institution. It is most likely a remainder since it is not numbered. The condition is crisp uncirculated. The picture shows the actual obsolete Washington DC obsolete money that is for sale at Brandywine General Store.
