Ward James - Ryelands The King's Ram

Fine Art Prints of Distinction

$8.99

A Museum Quality Print of Ryelands Sheep, The King's Ram, The King's Ewe and Lord Somerville's Wether by James Ward. This oil on panel was finished by the artist between the period of 1801 to 1807.  This was a portrait that Ward painted of three upscale wool producers when he spent a week at Windsor Castle. The two royal sheep belonged to King George III and the wether, a gelded male, belonged to Lord Sommerville, who was president of the Agricultural Board of England. According to the caption on the back of this picture these animals represented a new and improved breed of English livestock.

At Fine Art Prints of Distinction we painstakingly repair the original files of these old paintings and print them using premium quality inks and paper. The end result is a beautiful, archival reproduction print that will last in your home for generations and at a low cost so anyone can now have great artworks in their home or business. Brandywine General Store is proud to offer for sale a Premium Fine Art Print made from a painting entitled Ryelands Sheep, The King's Ram, The King's Ewe and Lord Somerville's Wether by James Ward.
