An archival premium Quality art Print of Spring or A Portrait of Martha Vogeler by Heinrich Vogeler for sale by Brandywine General Store. This canvas was painted by the artist in 1897. It is a portrait of his wife, Martha. The two split up in 1920 while living at the Barkenhoff, the artist commune and finally got divorced around 1926. Heinrich and Martha had 3 daughters. This is an interesting portrait, with Martha in a small grove of birch trees with a large puddle of water in amongst the trees while she is looking up in the tree at a small songbird.
