Virginia Obsolete Money CR15 5.00 Treasury CSA Watermark

SKU: VA Five Dollar Treasury 27398

A nice mid grade CSA five dollar treasury issue from the state of Virginia issued on March 13, 1862 from Richmond. The portrait in the center is public accounts auditor Jonathan M. Bennett and at the right is a portrayal of the Virginia state seal. The grade is choice very fine plus, with nice dark green overprints, good centering and paper quality which still has a lot of crispness. This VA confederate money has the CSA watermark, which is rarer than the type printed on plain paper. The picture shows the actual Virginia confederate money that is for sale at Brandywine General Store.
