Civil War era obsolete 60 cents fractional shinplaster from Lynchburg, Virginia dated May 1, 1862. This money has been professionally certified Fine 12 by PCGS. This simple typeset Change note states that "The City of Lynchburg will pay to Bearer, in Current Funds, Sixty Cents, When demanded in sums of one or more dollars.
