Civil War era obsolete 15 cents fractional note from Lynchburg, Virginia dated May 1, 1862. This money has been professionally certified Fine 12 by PCGS. This simple typeset Change note states that "The City of Lynchburg will pay to Bearer, in Current Funds, Ninety Cents, When demanded in sums of one or more dollars. This note also has a vignette on the right side of a maiden holding a sheaf of grain on her head.
