This vintage Civil War change currency states The County of Botetourt, Will pay to bearer Twenty-Five Cents redeemable in current funds at the Clerk's Office of the said County treasurer to the provisions of an act of the General Assembly passed March 29, 1862, entitled 'An Act to provide a currency of notes of less denomination than five dollars and the amendments thereso.
