Verschuu, Wouterus - The Music Chamber Fine Art Print
A Museum Quality Print of Comical Dog Artwork The Music Chamber painted by Wouterus Verschuu. The composition of this artwork shows a trio of dogs setting in a music room or parlor of a well to do home. There is a large piano and violin in the room, a small pup is getting into trouble by pulling a blanket off the chair. The artist, Wouterus Verschuu began showing talent by the age of 15 and started showing and exhibiting paintings at Amsterdam by 1828. In 1833 he was appointed a member of the Royal Academy in Amsterdam. Verschuu enjoyed considerable appeal abroad for his works, often being featured in the annual exhibitions which traveled to the larger European cities at that time. In 1855 Napoleon III purchased one of this works at the Universal Exposition in Paris.
