Van Gogh, Vincent - Starry Night Fine Art Print
Starry Night was painted by Vincent Van Gogh in 1889 while he was a patient at the asylum at St. Remy and this scene depicts the view from the artist's room. The center part of the painting shows the village of Saint-Remy under a swirling sky, this is where the asylum was located that Van Gogh spent his last days. The cypress tree to the left is an addition to the scene, it wasn't actually outside of Van Gogh's room. This is one of the most well known paintings of modern times and one of the most replicated pieces of art of the modern era. This art now hangs in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
