A Museum Quality Print of Lane With Poplars painted by Vincent Van Gogh in November of 1885 for sale by Brandywine General Store. Van Gogh is now considered one of the greatest artists of all time, however during his lifetime, he could not sell a painting. It is believed that during his life he sold only one painting, Van Gogh was supported mostly by his brother Theo, who would give him money to buy art supplies and to live on, in return, Vincent would give his brother his paintings and Theo could then try to sell them for a profit. If these two were living today, Theo would become a billionaire. Vincent was troubled and depressed during most of his life finally committing suicide at the age of 37 on July 27, 1890. Van Gogh had shot himself in the chest, however the bullet most likely hit the rib cage and caused no injurires to any internal organs, he was able to walk back to his rooms and smoke his pipe. The Doctors that saw him could not operate and take out the bullet, but Vincent still remained in good health and was so when his brother Theo rushed in to be by his side. But later on, infection settled in the untreated bullet hole and this is what killed him. There are mysteries though surrounding this shooting which at this point and time will not ever be solved.
